The 9/11 conspiracy theories say that the September 11, 2001 attacks were either known of and allowed to happen, or that the US government was part of the attack. The most well known theory is that the collapse of the towers of World Trade Center happened because of a controlled demolition caused by preplanted explosives, supposedly by the government. The second most known theory is that Pentagon was hit by a missile launched by the government instead of a commercial airliner as is told in the officials reports.
Conspiracy theories started appearing after people were misspleased with the accounts given in the official report.

The terrorist attack of September 11, 2001 is the most well known terrorist attack in U.S. history, both in terms of material damage and the amount of people killed. Four airplanes were hijacked by suicide activists from Al Qaeda. Two of them crashed into the World Trade Center in New York. A third plane crashed into the Pentagon, Defense Department headquarters in Washington DC, and the last plane crashed in Pennsylvania. In addition to the 19 hijackers, 2973 people died in the terrorist attack. Also, 25 buildings in Manhattan were damaged in connection with the attack, including a church and two underground stations.

There are several conspiracy theories about the terror attack. “The official history” believes that Osama Bin Laden was responsible and that the airplanes was hijacked by 19 Muslims. Another theory accepts the official history, but blame The White House, FBI, CIA, NSA and others for not having followed up the numerous warnings. Conspiracy theories claims that the U.S. Government hides important facts about the terrorist attack. More than 33,3 % of the American public, suspects that federal officials didn’t really do something special to stop the terrorist attacks, because then the United States could or had a good enough reason to go to war in the Middle East. The most prominent theory is that the collapse of the World Trade Center was the result of a controlled demolition.
There were also another prominent theory, the fact that the Pentagon was hit by a missile launched by elements from the U.S. Government or the fact that the American military gave the commercial airliner permission to do so, via an effective stand down.
Memorials:
In the days following the attacks, many memorials have been held and “Tribute in Light” was one of the first memorials. This was projected with an installation of 88 searchlights at the ground zero, which consisted of two vertical light columns into the sky.
Another permanent memorial which has been constructed is the Pentagon Memioral. It was completed and opened to the public in Septemer 11, 2008, seven years after the attack. It consists of a landscaped park with 184 benches towards the Pentagon. In New York City, on every single anniversary, the names of the victims who died during the attack, are read out with a background of somber music. The fact that the President of the U.S also attends a memorial service at the Pentagon, says something about how much this attack have effected the people in the United States and not to mention the rest of the World.
